Private Driver Hire New Zealand Limited will not be held responsible for any loss or damage to personal property or for any personal injury or death that may arise while on our tours.

We will not be responsible for compensating passengers for losses arising from incidents beyond our control, such as natural disasters, civil disturbances, theft, delays or mechanical breakdowns that may lead to additional expenses.

It is hereby acknowledged that you accept these terms and conditions if you confirm a booking with us.


When confirming your booking we require a NON REFUNDABLE deposit (which is at least 20% for our multi day tours.) then final payment of balance is due in full at least 14 days prior to your pick up date, or we may accept another fare.

For single day tours and transfers we require full payment to reserve your booking.

Payment can be made by internet banking directly to our bank account or by Visa or Mastercard credit cards and debit cards only.(An additional 3.25% merchant service fee is charged if paying by credit card.)

If you accept the quote we can send you a link via email allowing payment by credit cards mentioned above or our New Zealand bank details and Swift code if youve chosen to pay by telegraphic transfer in NZ dollars directly into our bank account from yours, with you accepting all bank charges both ends involved in getting the payment to our account.(the bank charge for this method our end is an additional $20 nzd per transaction)

We will send you another email to confirm your payment has been received and that your booking is confirmed.

If you do not receive our payment confirmation within 48 hours of making your payment please contact us.

Cancellation Policy

Deposits on our multi day touring are NON REFUNDABLE.

We advise you to take out travel insurance to cover your deposit or your full payment to us, in case you have to cancel.

If we have pre booked attractions for you for the trip, then we will try to recover your payment for these off the attractions, however depending on their cancellation policies it may not all be refunded, another reason to take out travel insurance as mentioned above.

Bookings made that were fully paid in advance will receive 50% REFUNDS if cancelled over 8 days before pick up time and date. This gives us a slim chance of finding other work to cover the dates you had booked, but its not always possible to get alternative work at short notice.

No shows on the day of pick up, or bookings cancelled within 8 days of pick up time and date will receive no refund.

If New Zealand was to close the border and you were not able to come for your tour then we do refund you 100% in that situation other than the credit card fees that were charged if you paid via credit card.

Waiting Time

If you have booked our services we will have specified a pick up time on your booking.

We will wait for 30 minutes after this time for no extra cost on any pick ups. If you require us to come back later than that, extra charges will be incurred and advised of as it occurs.

We will wait for 90 minutes at no extra cost after the original flight arrival time you gave us on an international flight.

The best policy is to ring us or email us as soon as you know of a delay in your arrival time.

We want your business and we strive to provide excellence in our service, so please consider your pre booked driver as we will be there waiting, and we are never late.
